Back to School- Preventing Sickness

2 minute read

As summer starts coming to a close, and the back-to-school shopping begins, we thought we’d share some of our best tips and tricks before the new school year. Here are some suggestions to keep your kids healthy… and with all of the germs circulating around every classroom, you might want to write these down.

1. Get Your Kids Moving

Regular exercise will reduce your child’s risk of infections!

2. Cool Bath or Shower After Working Out

The cold water helps boost blood circulation, which in turn keeps body temperatures stable.

3. Take Your Vitamins

Give your kids some good ol’ gummy vitamins. Because of their popularity, you are sure to find a brand your kids like the taste of, plus their important nutrients are just another shield against germs.

4. Eight or More Hours of Sleep

Although your kids might push back for a later bedtime, keep in mind the significance of rest. While they may seem to have endless amounts of energy, you should encourage at least eight hours of sleep.

5. Eat Fresh Garlic

Garlic not only fights illnesses, but it can also prevent them! Lucky for you, garlic is an easy ingredient to add into recipes.

6. Treat Symptoms Right Away

No time to waste! If your kids start mentioning symptoms of a cold or flu, it’s time for lots of vitamin C and water.

Aside from reminding your kids to take advantage of all the hand sanitizers and wipes around the classroom, remember these tips to keep them healthy throughout the year. Check out this video for a recap!
